It is the unique expression of the religious and artistic flowering of Islamic Sultanate in Southern India.

It was built in 1602. It has 75 monuments, 40 mausoleums, 23 mosques, 6 step wells and parks spread over 106 acres.

The other reason to visit the Tombs was to see how the different agencies like Aga Khan Trust for Culture (AKTC),  Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation (TSTDC) and Archeological Survey of India (ASI).

Some of the steps that we as a citizen can follow to preserve these historical sites are:

  • Prevent ourselves and others from scribbling on the walls.
  • Participating in the regular Cleanliness Drives.
  • Being a part in the Heritage conservation
  • Spreading awareness around about these monuments and their importance.
  • Try to create awareness and advertise about the preservation of the heritage. Conducting seminars in school, so that student can be educated with the amount of money, time, expertise and labor that goes into protecting these structure via chemical and other methods.
Impact after the restoration of Quli Qutub Shahi Tombs, on the economic activities of Hyderabad as well as local communities living around the tombs, had a great impact. Few of them are:

  • The increased number of visitors has increased sales, profits, and jobs in that particular area.
  • It helped to increase the living standard of the people by increasing income and employment.
  • So, overall it attracted more visitors which include local, national as well as international tourists which increased the economy of Hyderabad.
